How Accurate Is JustDone AI Detector? Evidence Review

Understand JustDone accuracy claims, false positives, and what a current independent test would need to establish.

We cannot give JustDone a verified current accuracy rate from our own testing. Its public page provides numerical claims, but these do not establish how reliably it will classify your essay or how it compares with another detector on the same documents.

Evidence and disclosure — reviewed September 8, 2026. This is a source-based editorial review, not our own accuracy benchmark. Humanizer AI sells writing and detection tools, so we have a commercial interest in this topic.

What JustDone currently claims

The JustDone AI detector page states 80% overall detection accuracy, 98% on academic and scientific texts, and a 10.3% error rate. These are vendor-published figures, not measurements conducted by Humanizer AI. We have not reproduced the underlying evaluation or established that the figures share a denominator, threshold, or dataset.

Do not subtract the stated error rate from 100 and call the result accuracy. Error rates can describe different subsets or decision rules. Likewise, a result for academic text cannot be extended to all languages, short messages, or edited text.

What is missing for a reliable verdict?

A usable benchmark should identify the product version and test date, the number of human and generated documents, how authorship was established, and the treatment of mixed or paraphrased material. It should report false positives and missed detections separately, with uncertainty around the estimates.

Those details matter more than a headline percentage. Consider a hypothetical set containing mostly generated documents: a detector that frequently labels text AI could appear strong overall while still making too many errors on the smaller human group. This is a statistical example, not a JustDone test.

Features are not accuracy evidence

JustDone advertises sentence highlights, uploads, rewriting, and an estimated Turnitin score. We reviewed the public description; we did not test paid reports or validate the Turnitin estimate. Source: JustDone.

A highlighted sentence helps you locate a signal, but does not independently establish its origin. A third-party estimate also does not become the score generated by your institution's Turnitin installation. Read our Turnitin checker explanation before relying on that distinction.

If JustDone flags your own writing

Save the unchanged document and result. Compare the highlighted passages with your draft history and sources. Check whether the text you submitted includes quotations, references, or formatting that changes the analyzed input. If a teacher or editor has a concern, discuss the work and the applicable policy rather than promising that another scanner will clear it.

If you evaluate the product yourself, use documents whose origin you actually know. A handful of examples can reveal a failure, but cannot establish a low population-wide error rate. Do not upload confidential material merely to compare scores.

Verdict: JustDone's public figures are claims worth investigating, not a verified accuracy result from this review. We have no evidence here to rank it above or below GPTZero, Grammarly, or Humanizer AI. For a documented interpretation of our own tool, read the AI detection methodology, then use the AI detector only as supporting feedback.
